Since I have more lip products in my collection
than I know what to do with, it's ridiculously rare that I will buy a product and wear it religiously. I’m not kidding. Lipsticks and lip glosses are
my ultimate weakness.
But, with this very special lipstick, it has
constantly been on my lips since mid February and has officially taken
sanctuary in my Michael Kors handbag and has shown no signs of leaving me any
time soon.
Long story short, I’m hopelessly in love with this lipstick.
I don’t usually care for sheer lipsticks since
I prefer to buy more pigmented products and sheer them out with a lip balm for
more everyday usage and then wear them more heavier when I go out – best of
both worlds, duh!
But with this little beauty…OH MY GOD. It
seriously gives me everything I need, and more; gorgeous color, perfect
pigmentation, slightly moisturizing and a beautiful glossy finish.
Since it is a sheer lipstick, it really does
require very minimal effort in terms of application, meaning that preening into
a mirror isn’t even necessary since you actually can just swipe and go.
The one I have is called “Chuck”…lets take a moment to fantasize about Chuck Bass off of “Gossip Girl.”
Moment over? Good.
In terms of packaging, it is very Nars-esque, it has that same matte black, slightly rubbery finish to the tube, which i adore, and an added bonus? The bottom half has stars all over it, how cute? However, unlike the Nars packaging, this tube hasn't gone all grungy and gross despite it's awful living conditions - my pockets or bag.

Now in the tube, this lipstick gives off the
impression that it is a red/plum color, which is still all the rage, and I personally think that it is this specific kind of lipstick shade which looks amazing on people
with my skin tone.
When I first swatched this onto my hand, I
thought it would be a gorgeous opaque plum color, somewhat similar to “MAC - Rebel” but to my surprise it was actually a sheer, deep pink that looked absolutely divine and I automatically said “I need this”. Even though I’m going through
a “Confessions of a Shopaholic” phase
and asking myself “Do I need this?” every
time I pick something up at the shops, ultimately resulting into a mental
debate giving reasons as to why I should or shouldn’t purchase said product. Then regretting not buying it and traipsing back to said shop and buying it.
This lipstick is just SO comfortable to wear, it is super lightweight and creamy upon application, and literally just feels as though it’s more of a hydrating
balm opposed to a lipstick.
The fact it has more of a glossy finish is just
a hidden bonus for me, since I’m not the hugest fan of matte lipsticks, bar my Nars matt lip crayons.
I think it’s safe to say I’ve found a new favorite
lipstick and I just HAD to share with you all…well it’d be selfish not to, right?
